Job summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced GP Receptionist to join our friendly and busy GP Practice. This will be primarily within our telephone hub at Waterside Medical Centre; although there will be some need to work across all our Gosport sites. You will need to be able to demonstrate strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills, be organised and have the ability to work as part of an integrated multi-skilled team, within a fast-paced environment. Flexibility is essential along with an understanding, acceptance and adherence to the need for strict confidentiality.
As a team player, you'll be able to prioritise your work in order to meet deadlines and have a customer focused approach. Previous experience of working within the NHS is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.
Main duties of the job
The post-holder will deal with patient requests and enquiries face to face and via telephone, booking/amending appointments, prescription and repeat medication queries plus actioning any patient tasks from practice team, working strictly in accordance with the Practice protocols
