Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Assistant Site Supervisor to support the Site Manager in the conversion of a commercial building into 24 high-quality apartments in Coventry. This is a hands-on role that requires a proactive and reliable individual with strong experience in site supervision, as well as valid forklift and telehandler tickets. Key Responsibilities: Assist the Site Manager in day-to-day site operations, ensuring the project stays on schedule and within budget. Supervise site activities and trades, ensuring work is carried out to a high standard and in compliance with health and safety regulations. Operate forklifts, telehandlers, and other machinery as required on site. Assist the Site Manager in coordinating deliveries, materials handling, and logistics to maintain smooth site operations. Monitor and report on site progress, identifying and addressing any potential issues or delays. Ensure the site is clean, organised, and safe for all workers. Assist in quality control, ensuring all work meets the required specifications. Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders. Maintain clear communication with the Site Manager and assist with documentation and paperwork as needed. Enforce health and safety protocols on site, conducting regular inspections and risk assessments. Qualifications and Experience: Proven experience in a supervisory or assistant site supervisor role, ideally within residential or commercial conversions. Valid forklift and/or telehandler tickets are essential. Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and site management practices. Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage site staff. Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines. CSCS card (preferred but not essential). Valid SSSTS Card Contract Details: 12-month contract stationed in Coventry with the potential for ongoing work on future projects on different scales.
