This role will be within our Water and wastewater capital project delivery team. Our teams deliver large-scale capital programmes aimed at keeping water infrastructure resilient for the long-term while protecting the environment.
What will you be doing?
Morrison Water Services are recruiting for a Head of Capital Delivery to join the Senior Management Team on our Welsh Water Network Alliance Contract, to assume responsibility for all our Capital Work Streams. The role will be based in Clydach with the potential for agile working and will cover the whole of the Welsh Water Network.
This is an exciting opportunity to take the lead on the strategic development and growth of the existing team, to support performance against the current programme and transition into the new client investment period, AMP 8.
As Head of Capital Delivery, you will be providing strategic and operational expertise across the capital delivery portfolio, including Zonal Mains Replacement, Developer Services, Pressurised Pipelines, and Planned Reactive works.
Supporting all colleagues across a wide range of functions, with development, diversity and inclusion and championing employee engagement. Ensuring resource requirements are met, now and the future, investing in technical, behavioural and safety development.
Building long-lasting and engaging client relationships, promoting the values of MWS and continually supporting clients’ needs to deliver the best possible solutions. Responsible for implementing and enabling the highest standards of Safety compliance, driving a positive wellbeing culture throughout the whole team.
Ensuring teams are supported by robust and comprehensive systems and processes. Accountable for delivery of all Contractual and Commercial KPI’s, Quarterly and Annual Business Plan targets and P&L. Leading a successful tender process to secure future capital works for remainder AMP7 and into AMP8.
What you’ll bring
Are you educated to degree level in a Technical or Business discipline?
Do you have a relevant Management or Professional qualification, including being part of an industry recognised body?
Are you experienced in Senior Management, delivering capital works, ideally within the Water sector?
Do you possess a high degree of commercial and strategic awareness, with bid management experience?
Can you demonstrate a high level of communication and negotiation skills?
Are you decisive, and able to work effectively under pressure?
Can you deal with conflict in a timely and equitable manner by adopting tact and diplomacy in an assertive fashion?
Are you confident in delegating tasks, while maintaining full oversight of all functions within the team?
