The Role:
The successful candidate will work closely with teachers to support learning in the classroom, helping to create an engaging and inclusive environment where all children can thrive. This role involves working with small groups and individual pupils, assisting with lesson delivery, and contributing to the overall pastoral care of students.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support teachers in delivering high-quality lessons
* Work with pupils on a one-to-one basis or in small groups to reinforce learning
* Assist in the preparation of classroom materials and resources
* Provide additional support for pupils with special educational needs (SEN)
* Help to maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment
* Support pupils’ emotional and social development
* Contribute to the assessment of pupils’ progress
Requirements:
* Experience working with children in an educational setting (preferably in a primary school)
* A passion for supporting children’s learning and development
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team
* A proactive and flexible approach to working
* Understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies
* A relevant Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning (desirable)
