We’re looking for a Tax Assistant Manager who has strong organisation skills, a keen eye for detail and enjoys building relationships. We are not looking for someone who knows everything already, but someone who is committed to their development and keen to work hard and learn The role of the Tax Assistant Manager will primarily involve working closely with the Mangers and Senior Managers based in the UK. Clients range from SME, large and very large businesses. As a Tax Assistant Manager, you will work as a part of a team of corporate tax experts, helping our clients tackle their compliance and complicated issues from strategy to execution. Responsibilities: Undertaking the first review of the tax computations produced by the tax associates using Alphatax, Preparation/submission/review R&D tax credit claim Researching, analysing and interpreting changing tax legislation Providing training and support to tax juniors Proactively assisting in the management of a portfolio of clients, while reporting to Managers and above, Assisting in the management and delivering of large projects Eligibility, Skills and Experience To be eligible to apply for our Tax Assistant Manager role you will need to have: Good communication skills, written and oral Strong attention to detail and numeracy skills Excellent Microsoft office skills in particular Excel A commitment to team working and delivering great client service Good project management and self-organizational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks Resilient and able to work to deadlines 2:2 or above from a degree in any discipline 112 UCAS points from three A-Levels (or equivalent) The right to work in the UK Experience of having worked in corporate tax either in house or within a consultancy practice, minimum 3 years Newly qualified or studying towards professional qualification ACCA/CTA What FD offers Competitive salary Flexible working hours, Hybrid (home/office) Clear career growth path within the firm Personal and professional skills development and training support LI - hybrid
