Operations Director / General Manager – Permanent - Shrewsbury
L & C Consulting are recruiting with a successful food processing company in Shrewsbury for a new Operations Director / General Manager to join them on a permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Operations Director / General Manager to come on board and run the day-to-day functions of this growing manufacturing business. The role will suit someone who wants to join a rewarding, professional company with a good salary and benefits package with genuine chances to impact the company growth and success.
Playing a key part of the Senior Management Team and reporting into the Managing Director, duties will include (but not be limited to):
* Running a small production and Goods Out team on a daily basis
* Workload planning and allocation
* Health & Safety
* Quality Control
* Warehousing and stock control functions
* General management, training & development, and other efficiencies and processes
Relevant applicants should have an adaptable, flexible approach, excellent communication skills, and be a dynamic team player and motivator. You will ideally have worked in an automated food processing environment previously and be happy ‘getting stuck in’ with this hands-on role as well as managing strategic level operations.
You will also be well-organised, IT literate (MS packages, MRP, etc.), and have an extremely professional approach to your work.

The Shrewsbury based site is commutable from all parts of Telford, Shrewsbury, Oswestry, Market Drayton, Newtown, Welshpool, etc.
