Following a recent restructuring within Operational HR, we are in a transformative phase, offering opportunities to grow and shape the future of our HR services. Our employee relations function plays a pivotal role in supporting the Trust’s strategic objectives, ensuring we are recognised as both a great place to work and the employer of choice in our community.
Working within a fast-paced hospital setting, you will support a diverse workforce, including clinical and non-clinical teams, helping to create a positive, supportive, and highly performing workplace.
We are looking for a proactive, knowledgeable, and committed HR Professional who can drive this vision forward. The role is instrumental in delivering a high-quality HR service, supporting staff across the organisation to achieve meaningful outcomes aligned with the Trust’s values so they can continue to provide outstanding care to our patients.
We operate a hybrid model of on-site and home working.

Main duties of the job
You will develop and maintain regular contact with line managers to build strong and influential working relationships, sufficient to support and advise on all aspects of Human Resources (HR) policies and procedures. This role will be key to supporting, coaching, and training managers to undertake effective people management activities. These may involve sickness absence management, performance, disciplinary, grievance, and harassment/bullying issues. The post holder will have the opportunity to be involved in many other related aspects such as supporting Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion objectives, job matching, as well as supporting employee wellbeing objectives. There will also be the opportunity to be involved in the transformation work such as attending consultation meetings and advising on procedure.

Qualifications
* CIPD level 5 or demonstrable experience or relevant HR related degree
* Proven evidence of Continual Professional Development.
* Coaching qualification or training
Experience
* Demonstrable experience of dealing with a range of HR employee relations issues in a large complex organisation
* Able to demonstrate an understanding of current employment legislation
* Ability to resolve problems and give appropriate and timely advice
* Experience of managing basic Human Resources issues including sickness absence management, capability management, disciplinary management, grievances, and disciplinary investigations
* Demonstrate a working knowledge and understanding of other key human resources fields e.g., recruitment & selection, terms & conditions, and change management
* Proven experience of working in a Human Resources Department undertaking an advisory role
* Experience of delivering HR related training to varying audiences
* Experience of coaching managers
Knowledge
* Ability to interpret and explain Trust policies and procedures and Agenda for Change Terms and Conditions
