Job Responsibilities:
1. Supervise and lead a team of electricians and electrical apprentices on-site.
2. Oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in a commercial setting.
3. Ensure compliance with safety regulations, electrical codes, and project specifications.
4. Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and other trades to ensure project milestones are met on time and within budget.
5. Perform quality control checks to ensure work is completed to the highest standards.
6. Resolve any electrical issues on-site and provide technical support to the team.
7. Maintain accurate records of project progress, material usage, and labour hours.
8. Assist with the planning and scheduling of electrical work to ensure efficient project timelines.
9. Ensure that all team members follow proper safety procedures and work in a safe environment.
10. Provide training and mentorship to junior electrical staff.
Requirements:
1. Current CSCS / ECS card.
2. Proven experience as an Electrical Supervisor or in a similar leadership role within the construction industry.
3. Strong experience with commercial electrical installations and systems.
4. In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and safety codes.
5. Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
6. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents.
7. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot electrical issues.
8. Knowledge of project management software or tools is a plus.
9. Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
