Engineering Design Manager / Engineering Manager


My client is an established global engineering company supplying 'engineered-to-order' solutions for industrial and commercial projects throughout EMEA from their UK site.


This role requires expertise in leading a team of multidisciplinary design engineers with a focus on improving engineering and design standards and compliance with regularity requirements.


Applicants will be qualified to at least degree level in mechanical engineering with extensive design and technical management experience in an engineered-to-order or project engineering setting.

The Role

* The main purpose of this role is to lead and improve design and engineering standards including compliance
* Leading a multidisciplinary team of 12 design engineers
* Design solutions including; mechanical piping, structural, LV electrical systems, controls
* Oversee the full lifecycle of engineering projects from concept, design, fabrication, installation, and commissioning.
* Provide technical management and leadership
* Develop and implement engineering solutions to complex challenges
* Develop the framework for all technical aspects of solution development and engineered projects
* Ensure that all engineering designs meet relevant codes, safety standards, and environmental regulations.
* Act as the primary escalation point of technical queries


Hours: 38 hours, flexible working between 0930-1530, lunchtime finish Fridays


You

* Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering,
* Currently Engineering Manager, Engineering Design Manager, Technical Manager
* Strong background in either process engineering e.g. oil & gas, nuclear or within HVAC building services / MEP
