Responsibilities:
• Follow a care plan and call schedule.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of service users, reporting any issues.
• Work collaboratively as part of a respectful team, being flexible and cover bookings in case of sickness.
• Conduct spot checks, medication checks and observations, including staff competency assessments.
• Develop and implement care plans in collaboration with service users, their families, and the care team.
• Communicate effectively with service users, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
• Utilize IT systems for documentation and reporting.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and company policies.
• Mentor new carers, assist with training, and ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
• Conduct out-of-hours client reviews and service restarts (e.g., respite, hospitals).
• Participate in the on-call rota.
• Provide hands-on care, including assistance with activities of daily living.
• Perform duties associated with a senior carer role in the community and office.
Qualifications/Requirements:
• Previous experience in a senior care role or willingness to take on additional responsibilities from a care worker position.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and supervise a team effectively.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with service users, families, and colleagues.
• Proficiency in using IT systems for record-keeping and care planning.
• SVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or willingness to work towards it.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment and to work with minimal supervision.
• Compassionate nature with a genuine passion for helping others and providing high-quality care to vulnerable adults.
• Excellent understanding of the health and social standards, CI, and SSSC.
• Flexibility in tasks and working hours.
• Willingness to work every other weekend.

• Care: 1 year (preferred)

• On the road, in person, own transport is required
