As a Trainee Pipeline Inspection Technician, you will be responsible for the assembly, testing and setup of the In Line Inspection (ILI) tools and support equipment. You will work alongside a Superintendent (Senior Technician) in the preparation and execution of Field Projects.This position requires extensive travel throughout the UK & Europe, also some travel to Canada and the US should be expected. This position reports to the Operations Manager. The home base for this position is Spencers Wood, Berkshire.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:
Safety & Quality Compliance
* Ensure safety is put first in the execution of all tasks and processes
* Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and cost savings
* Accurately complete job-related documents
* Maintain all required records and inspections to be in compliance with safety policies.
Project Planning, Building, Execution & Maintenance
* Following documented processes and procedures to build and prepare in-line inspection tools and support equipment
* Assist in prepping, launching and receiving of in-line inspection tools
* Clean, refurbish, repair, and maintain in-line inspection tools after the completion of projects
* Responsible for driving company vehicles in the UK and Europe to transport in-line inspection tools and equipment to and from job sites
* Operate forklifts and overhead cranes as required – Training will be provided
* Other duties as required
Expenses & Timesheets
* Prepare and submit expense reports so they are reimbursed in a timely manner
* Manage cost of flights, lodging and any other travelling expenses to align with Entegra policies.

Requirements:
Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required:
* Must be at least 25 years old
* Proficiency with hand and power tools
* Ability to use mechanical drawings and procedures to re-build mechanical assemblies
* Experience in undertaking maintenance, fault diagnosis and rectification work
* Inspection work on equipment installed in hazardous areas
* Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
* Strong communication skills
* Ability to work alone or in a team depending on the job requirements
* Ability and drive to progress through Tool Operator Levels described in ASNT Personnel Qualifications and Certifications for In-Line Inspection Technologies
* Flexible, reliable, and conscientious approach to work
* Ability to work under pressure and stress and balance multiple priorities while working to tight deadlines
* Good organizational skills
* Comfortability with a field-based role and the travel involved
* Relevant training certification and/or evidence of competencies to support knowledge and experience.
* Ability to drive long distances, alone, in Europe

* Authorization to work in the United Kingdom for any employer
* Successfully passing a Drug and Alcohol Test (required as a condition of employment)
* Willingness to submit to a background check (conviction record will not necessarily prevent applicants from being employed)
* Proof of valid UK driving license
* Passing a fitness to work medical
* Ability to work long hours, including early morning start and/or late evening finish
* Ability to routinely lift and carry up to 25kg
* Ability to wear a respirator (this would require being clean shaven as needed)
* Ability to work under extreme weather conditions
* Willingness to travel up to 80% of the time within the UK, Europe, and potentially longer haul international travel
