Our client, a leading energy services organisation, is seeking a driven and collaborative Global Category Manager to lead sourcing strategies within IT categories. This role is pivotal in driving operational efficiency, cost management, and fostering strong supplier relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement global category strategies, focusing on cost savings, efficiency, and risk management.
* Manage key supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure supplier performance aligns with business needs.
* Conduct market analysis to identify trends, potential suppliers, and opportunities for innovation.
* Collaborate with regional teams and stakeholders to align category strategies with business objectives.
* Lead large-scale tenders and leverage spend with strategic suppliers to support the category Technology Road Map.
* Mentor and guide teams, promoting best practices in procurement and conflict resolution.
What You’ll Need:
* Strong experience in sourcing and procurement with a proven track record of delivering results.
* Energy sector industry experience.
* Excellent analytical skills to evaluate market trends and make informed decisions.
* Proficiency in supplier contracting, with an understanding of key contract clauses and negotiation tactics.
* Ability to influence stakeholders and build credibility quickly, with outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
* A lean mindset, focused on continuous improvement and process optimisation.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Suite including Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, and SharePoint.
