Here at the Mick George Group, we are hiring an Internal Sales Coordinator to be based at our Head Office in Huntingdon.
Hours of work: Monday – Friday 8:00 – 17:00 (potential for earlier shift after probation period). Additional hours if necessary.
Role Overview:
The role will heavily rely on a positive, customer service focused individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment. Day to day responsibilities include answering the phone lines to the Construction market, pricing our services, understanding the works, and cross-selling multiple services and products. Ensuring the customer has the ultimate experience by efficiently creating quotations, sending them to the customer, and converting them to orders.
The individual will work within a team of strong sales members, all playing a key role in ensuring all enquiries & quotes are managed efficiently and orders are correctly processed for delivery.
The department needs a confident individual who is willing to gain, understand, and share market knowledge, be proactive when necessary, and continue to grow the market. Multi-tasking is key to managing the workload, prioritizing tasks, decision-making, and maintaining high attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
* Ensure all sales enquiries from all lead sources are dealt with in a timely, professional, and informative manner.
* Qualify all sales enquiries and ensure every potential opportunity is explored and logged on the CRM.
* Effectively communicate own performance and progress against objectives set.
* Reach out to potential clients and make contact through all available channels (social media, events, email, phone calls).
* Attend site and office visits with existing and prospective customers.
* Provide pricing in line with quoting tools provided by the Group, with an eye on profit levels.
* Ensure the status of opportunities and quotations are kept up-to-date by regular communication with customers via follow-up calls or emails, using the pipelines and dashboards.
* Focus on converting enquiries into orders and sales, through regular contact with customers; all communication to be added in note format to the CRM.
* Build long-term relationships with Mick George account customers, ensuring a five-star customer experience always.
* Ensure all quotes are set up correctly on the relevant systems and take first orders where required, ensuring payment is also taken if needed.
* Organize quotations and send them to customers.
* Identify sales opportunities through proactive sales methods and contacting customers to offer services.
* Work closely with other teams to ensure every potential enquiry source and opportunity is exploited, and that the customer receives a great ordering experience.
* Ensure KPI’s for call activity, lead generation/cross-selling, and orders/revenue are understood and followed.
* Provide feedback to the manager on competitors and market information for the department.
* Attend internal and external events with clients where required.
* Type written quotations and send to customers if required.
Qualifications/Experience:
* Computer literate & proficient in Microsoft Office.
* Flexibility to get tasks completed as needed with excellent attention to detail.
* Ability to work under instruction while using own initiative where necessary.
* Highly organized with a polite and confident telephone manner.
* Previous experience within the construction/aggregates/waste industry would be advantageous but not essential.
* Driven and proactive individual.
