As a Senior Cabinet Maker, you’ll manage projects from planning through to completion, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and efficient delivery. This role will see you applying your extensive knowledge of cabinet making techniques, materials, and finishes while collaborating with site teams to deliver bespoke furniture and fitted projects to the highest standards.
What will you be doing:
1. Working in accordance with SHE compliant procedures and processes.
2. Reading and accurately interpreting working drawings.
3. Planning and managing jobs from pre-manufacture to completion, ensuring efficient project delivery.
4. Demonstrating high competence in using woodworking machines, power tools, and hand tools safely and compliantly within Health & Safety regulations.
5. Possessing solid knowledge of hardware, glues, fixings, and fittings across various applications.
6. Understanding different finishes and their impact on construction, material choices, and techniques applied to furniture pieces.
7. Working on both free-standing furniture and larger fitted projects such as kitchens and dressing rooms.
8. Maintaining a clean, tidy, and safe working space.
9. Assisting site fitting teams when required.
10. Completing and submitting timesheets for approval.
11. Willingness to work additional hours as reasonably required.
Requirements:
1. Right to Work in the UK
2. Full UK Driving Licence
3. Meticulous organization skills.
4. Proven planning and time management abilities.
5. In-depth knowledge of cabinet making/furniture making techniques, materials, and finishes.
6. Extensive experience with both solid wood and veneer, understanding their applications, techniques, and limitations.
7. Strong knowledge of integrating metalwork, AV systems, M&E, and appliances.
8. Ability to identify and overcome technical making issues.
9. Understanding and knowledge of the high-end residential market.
10. Excellent interpersonal skills, flexibility, and reliability.
11. Commitment to developing good practice and building on skills.
12. Ownership of personal hand tools.
