About the role Our Finance Services team are looking for a Cost Analyst to support and provide analysis to the Cost Manager and the Senior Cost Analyst. As a FTSE 100 company, we work in a fast-paced and agile environment, which means collaboration is vital. Our Cost team is a trusted business partner and provides insightful information and analysis to help the business make strategic and operational decisions. We’re searching for someone who understands the importance of data to aid decision-making within the Finance Operations environment. In this forward-thinking analytical role, you will look at forecasting, planning, risk, and spot commercial opportunities. Using various internal systems, you will extract data from different sources, demonstrating a passion for data and modelling. You will build reports, interpret data, and assist with forecasting and reviewing expenditures. There will also be a requirement for ad hoc analysis, requiring a flexible mindset to deliver at peak times, such as business plan submission and half-year cost review. What we're looking for Strong Excel skills and can prepare, analyse, and summarise data. Understanding of cost accounting (accruals and pre-payments) and working capital management Experience working with operational teams and processes within Finance (AP, AR, debt collection and payroll) A proactive approach and a problem-solving, analytical and commercial mindset Ability to work autonomously to tight deadlines and managing multiple priorities You will be quality-focused, with strong attention to detail, enabling you to meet recurring deadlines Working towards or ready to start a professional accounting qualification (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) with a desire to complete this qualification Benefits We’re offering a salary of £35,000 – £42,500, plus an additional 10% of your salary awarded to you in shares each year.
