Job Duties:
The main responsibilities of the Qualified Maths Teacher include planning and delivering engaging maths lessons, assessing student progress, providing constructive feedback, and maintaining accurate records of student achievements. The teacher will also collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum materials, participate in student meetings and parent-teacher conferences, and stay updated on educational best practises.
Required Qualifications:
A recognised teaching qualification, such as a PGCE or equivalent, and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). Strong subject knowledge in mathematics and proven experience teaching maths at the secondary level.
Education:
A degree in Mathematics or a related field is essential.
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of experience teaching maths in a secondary school setting.
Knowledge and Skills:
Excellent communication and classroom management skills, ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners, proficiency in using educational technology, and a passion for inspiring students to excel in mathematics.
Preferred Qualifications:
Additional training or certifications in teaching mathematics, experience with exam preparation and assessment, and involvement in extracurricular activities related to maths education.
Working Conditions:
The role involves working within a secondary school environment, following the school calendar for term dates and holidays. The teacher may be required to attend staff meetings, training sessions, and other school-related events outside of regular school hours.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
