We are recruiting for a Payroll Executive to join the Payroll Head Office team · Job Title – Payroll Executive · Location – BL9 8RR · Working rota – Mon-Fri · Working hours – 40h a week What You'll Be Doing: As a Payroll Executive, you'll be doing the following: Overseeing the completion of payrolls that are part of a payroll service for 30,000 colleagues over 32 payrolls, including 5 Offshore payrolls, over lunar and monthly payrolls. You will be responsible for investigating and resolving complex queries from our colleagues across the business. Supporting and training team members on payroll processes, and colleague queries. Ensuring that payroll is processed right first time and in the right way, in line with internal policies and legislative requirements. Measure the success of the team, looking for ways to continuously improve our processes and accuracy and, with the support of management, putting these changes into place. Supporting key stakeholders and departments across the business and cascading data and reports as required. What We're Looking For: Previous experience of working with complex and high-volume payrolls A good to excellent understanding of tax and NI rules and able to calculate advances, arrears and additional payment values. Awareness of the administration of HMRC remittances, court orders, and employee benefits like pensions and healthcare A desire to learn and continuously improve. A keen eye for detail and accuracy Being able to keep our colleagues at the centre of all you do. Able to organise your time to meet key deadlines both by yourself and as part of the team. Excellent communication skills to be able to break down pay queries to make it understandable for our colleagues and your team members.
