Job Title: Business Analyst - Tax & Legal Technology
Base Location: Glasgow

This team will be responsible for delivering technology enabled outcomes across the Tax & Legal business using modern and best in class engineering methodologies. We're part of the Tax Technology & Innovation team, responsible for developing and maintaining software solutions for a wide range of UK and global tax products. Our solutions share a common design system to ensure consistency, accessibility, and quality across multiple applications. You will join a small design team who collaborate with a cross-functional group of Product Owners, Business Analysts, Software Engineers, and QA professionals. Crucially, we also offer the benefit of clear career progression.
What will you be doing?
As a Business Analyst you will play a crucial role in designing these technology solutions that will be used by our people and by our clients, through the following activities:
1. Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to understand their business needs and requirements, and translate them into clear and concise business requirements to be built by the development teams
2. Document and understand business processes to ensure clarity and consistency
3. Work with the Quality Assurance team to verify test cases meet requirements
4. Assist with running user acceptance testing (UAT) sessions and the demonstration new product features to end users of the software solutions
5. Facilitation of backlog refinement and sprint planning sessions.
What will you need to do it?
6. Previous experience gained as Business Analyst within Agile frameworks
7. Experience Agile tools - eg Azure DevOps, Jira, Confluence
8. Experience gained of working with Internal Software Development teams
9. Passionate about delivering excellent products
10. Excellent verbal and written communication
11. Experience working on multiple scrum projects
Skills we'd love to see/Amazing Extras:
12. Experience of working on Generative AI based products
13. Experience of Web Based Application build
14. Previous experience of Tax Compliance Software packages
