We are seeking a new member of the team who has a passion for working with people andprovidingpatient care in anofficesetting.Thisrole is pivotal inprovidingan interface between the patient,surgeonsand other inpatient departments & services. Thecandidatewillprovideadministrativesupport to the Waiting List Coordinatorsandwill be a point ofcontact forthepatients.

• You will have daily contact via the telephone with patients, other departments within the Trust and external agencies
• You will support the management team and care groups to ensure performance standards are met.
• Candidates must have the ability to work in a demanding, ever changing and fast paced environment
• Candidates must have empathy when dealing with complex and sensitive information daily.
• Candidates must have the ability to work co-operatively in a team and adapt to change as required.
• Patient confidentiality and excellent customer care skills are essential.
• A high level of computer skills are essential and the post holder will be required to work on the Microsoft program Excel daily.

We operate from three main hospitals-Furness General Hospital (FGH) in Barrow, the Royal Lancaster Infirmary (RLI), and Westmorland General Hospital (WGH) in Kendal, as well as a number of community healthcare premises including Millom Hospital and GP Practice, Queen Victoria Hospital in Morecambe, and Ulverston Community Health Centre.
FGH and the RLI have a range of General Hospital services, with full Emergency Departments, Critical/Coronary Care units and various Consultant-led services.
WGH provides a range of General Hospital services, together with an Urgent Treatment Centre, that can help with a range of non-life threatening conditions such as broken bones and minor illnesses.
All three main hospitals provide a range of planned care including outpatients, diagnostics, therapies, day case and inpatient surgery. In addition, a range of local outreach services and diagnostics are provided from community facilities across Morecambe Bay.
