Job summary We are seeking an enthusiastic and forward-thinking Salaried GP to join our friendly, patient centred team, focused on providing GMS services for our local school boarding community. The successful candidate will possess the ability to work independently to provide GMS services for our local school boarding community and the local patient population. This position will involve independent prescribing, referrals, and managing patient-related administration tasks. This is a term-time only position, requiring 33 weeks of work per year. Sessions will be conducted at the School Health Centre and Oundle Medical Practice in accordance with the job plan. Main duties of the job The Salaried GP will work closely with the school health centre staff to deliver GMS services to boarding school pupils. Salaried GP will also be integrated into the main site team working additional sessions at Oundle Medical Practice. In accordance with the practice timetable, as agreed, the post-holder will make themselves available to undertake a variety of duties including surgery consultations, telephone consultations and queries, visiting patients at home, checking and signing repeat prescriptions and dealing with queries, paperwork, referrals and correspondence in a timely manner.
