Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant Location: Thurrock Salary: £85- £100 per day Contract Type: Full-Time, Temp to Perm Start Date: Interviewing as soon as possible for now and to start after easter half term. We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant. As a SEN TA, you will work closely with teachers and support staff to provide tailored support for children with SEN, helping them develop academically, socially, and emotionally. Key Responsibilities: Support children with SEN in both group and one-to-one settings. Assist the class teacher in delivering personalised learning plans. Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment. Provide emotional and behavioural support to help children engage with their learning. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external professionals to support the child's development. Maintain accurate records of student progress and provide feedback as needed.About You: We are looking for someone who is: Passionate about working with children and making a difference in their lives. Patient, caring, and empathetic, with a strong commitment to inclusion and equality. Willing to learn and develop skills in supporting children with SEN.Desirable but not essential: Previous experience working with children with SEN. Knowledge of strategies and interventions to support children with additional needs. Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2 or Level 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning)
