We are currently welcoming applications for a full-time Dietetic Assistant Practitioner to join our developing Dietetic team.
This full-time post is an exciting opportunity for someone who has an interest in mental health and nutrition.
You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Prior experience of working in the mental health and/or social care field, together with health care professionals and interacting with service users and carers is desirable along with a keen interest in nutrition and its importance in health and wellbeing. You will need to be proficient using computers including Microsoft Office software and have experience managing databases and therefore have proficient numeracy skills, along with strong organisational and prioritising skills. This position offers opportunity to further develop these skills and more in a supportive environment.
The post is based at The Harbour, Blackpool which is a 154 bedded Adult Mental Health Inpatient unit. The team comprises of speech and language therapists and occupational therapists and is led by a multidisciplinary management team. We work closely with colleagues in community dietetics and eating disorder services in order to provide the best care for service users.
The successful candidate must be able to effectively manage their own time, and demonstrate excellent communication skills. An interest in working with mental health inpatients and their families is essential.
