We are looking for a Housing Support Worker to join our Housing team in Romford. You will assist in the day to day running of the hostel to meet clients' needs through a high-quality service which enables individuals to address their support needs as well as any behavioural issues.
The right candidate will be responsible for effectively managing a caseload that provides constructive guidance to clients through dynamic support planning, as well as oversee individual rent accounts to minimise the risk of arrears and loss of accommodation. The role also includes the delivery of individual and group activities that provide opportunities and experiences where service users are able to learn and develop life skills in a safe, accepting environment.
The ultimate aim is for service users to be in a position of being able to hold down full-time employment and maintain their own tenancy to enable a positive move-on.
If you are able to conduct yourself in a professional manner, have the skills to manage a tenancy caseload with minimal supervision and have good knowledge of current and future benefits arrangements, you just may be the person we are looking for.
Summary of Job Profile:
1. Hours: 37.5 hours per week
2. Work Pattern: Monday to Friday, shifts vary 8am-4pm & 2pm-10pm including Bank Holidays and weekends every 7 weeks.
3. Contract Type: Permanent
