Join us as Joint Project Engineering Team Manager within Rolls-Royce and Babcock’s Joint Platform Engineering Team (JPET) and you will discover a unique opportunity to lead a team which engages with wide-ranging stakeholders to identify and deliver maintenance optimisation solutions for the UK Royal Navy Submarine Fleet.
In this role, you will lead and work with colleagues from across Rolls-Royce Submarines and other organisations to deliver outcomes to our MoD Submarine Delivery Agency (SDA) customers. Your role will also require engaging across broader enterprise teams and operations to understand and target availability-driving maintenance factors for optimisation, focused on the production of technical reports to empower long-term enterprise effectiveness.

What you will be doing
* Work with Rolls-Royce colleagues and the Submarines Delivery Agency, Tier 1 partner organisations, and a wide range of stakeholders across the Submarines Delivery Enterprise.
* Lead our Rolls-Royce Joint Platform Engineering Team based in Bristol.
* Act on behalf of the JPET and RRSL where delegated, to deliver the principal aims of the project and support submarine availability through maintenance optimisation.
* Build and develop relationships directly at all levels with the customer, partners, and internal stakeholders.
* Provide strategic engineering direction, governance and endorsement for technical activities undertaken by the JPET.
* Act as a point of contact for RRSL and reach back and liaise with DBU Engineers and Managers on technical solutions, improvements, and implementation.

* Have strong technical knowledge of the NSRP,
* Have a good understanding of platform components/systems,
* Be an excellent leader and have a drive for results,
* Have a strong systematic approach to Problem Solving,
* Have good stakeholder management and interpersonal skills,
* Be comfortable dealing with ambiguity and change,
* Work within a collaborative environment and be part of an Agile organisation.
To work for the Rolls-Royce Submarines business an individual has to hold a Security Check clearance. Rolls-Royce will support the application for Security Clearance if you do not currently already have this in place. Due to the nature of work the business conducts and the protection of certain assets we can only progress applications from individuals who are a UK national or, in MoD approved cases, a dual national.
