Mental Health Support Worker Salary: £15/hour - £16/hour (on umbrella scheme) Location: York Work hours: Full Time, Hours are flexible and to be confirmed both days and nights About the role We are recruiting on behalf of Yorkshire Community Healthcare who are looking for experienced Mental Health Support Workers with a compassionate and caring nature, ideally with experience working with a client who has dissociative identity disorder. You will be providing support to a woman with dissociative identity disorder. You will be supporting her to have independence in the community and at home. Requirements: Right to work in the UK A minimum of 6-months UK experience working as a Care and Support Worker Enthusiastic and outgoing personality to connect with the client and create a positive atmosphere. Compassionate and patient nature with excellent communication skills Ability to complete the physical aspects of the role such as moving and handling. Must be a driver with access to own vehicle Valid UK driving licence with business insurance to support the client in the community when needed. Must like animals, the young gentleman lives on a farm so carers will be supporting the client on the farm when required. Must be able to attend Mandatory trainings in Leeds. Note: All successful applicants will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
