Avionics-Electrical Workshop Engineer
Job Description
The position is to assist the Workshop Team Leader in being responsible to the Chief Engineer, for all Part-145 C-rated electrical/avionic maintenance activities and Part-21 Electrical/Electronic manufacturing tasks, essential to the effective delivery of customer contractual requirements. In addition, the Avionic Workshop Engineer will provide support to the team with engineering decisions relating to the components within their scope of authorisation.
Key Responsibilities
To maintain the overall performance of the Avionic Workshop. This includes, but is not limited to:
* Safety, Quality & Regulatory Compliance
* Promote a “Just Culture” with regard to safety and reporting of occurrences within the business.
* As Directed by the Team Leader, liaise with other departments such as Design, Quality, Engineering Control, Logistics, Aircraft Maintenance to achieve project delivery.
* Certification of electro / mechanical components within the scope of the authorisations held under part 145 / ISO.
* Certification of part 21 manufacturing within the scope of the authorisations held.
* Support the Engineering Control department with the development of route master documents for component rework through acting as a supporting subject matter expert.
* Highlight any tooling requirements to the Team Leader and if required assist with preparation of business case to facilitate procurement.
* Ensuring that all test and ground support equipment is in a serviceable/calibrated condition and fit to carry out its function before use.
* To co-ordinate engineering activities, enabling the team to complete tasks to target and within budget.
* Ensure areas under supervision are always kept clean and tidy.
* Evaluate all existing standards, practices, and procedures with a view to continuous improvement and efficiency.
Experience / skills / qualifications
Previous experience within aircraft maintenance Base/Workshops are desirable. Further applicable aircraft maintenance experience would be an advantage.
* Apprenticeship or HM Forces equivalent training certification.
* Previous working experience within an Aviation facility.
* Proven record of delivery in a production environment.
* Extensive knowledge of Regulatory requirements related to aircraft maintenance is essential
* Proven ability to work and deliver, to time pressure and deadlines, using basic project management skills

Salary: £35,000–£37,800 Plus Benefits
