We are looking for an experienced, talented, motivated and passionate Front of House Team Member to support the business’s owners by helping the FOH team to deliver a warm and friendly customer experience. In this role you will: Assist with the day to day running of the bar including stock control, checking and rotating stock and ensuring minimum wastage Open and close the premises to a high standard as and when required Maintain the FOH space making sure it’s clean, tidy and presentable at all times and ensuring stock is properly displayed, ready for service Maintain the cleanliness of the cellar to retain and increase our cellar master ranking and 5 hygiene ratings Take responsibility for the customer journey, ensuring their experience exceeds expectations Take accurate orders and work closely with kitchen staff to ensure they’re filled to the guests’ satisfaction Make drinks and wait tables Ensure payments and receipts are correct Confidently recommend menu and drinks offerings Observe service and standards and report any incidents or issues Recommend and implement improvements in order to grow sales and profitability Maintain, improve and/or create systems for everyday operation of the bar and FOH such as checklists and schedules Ensure hygiene and safety rules are adhered to Recommend and implement events and promotions to help fill the marketing calendar and grow the business You will need to demonstrate: Previous experience working front of house in a hospitality or customer facing environment Enthusiasm and passion for hospitality The ability to deliver excellent customer service and great teamwork The drive and will to overcome challenges or obstacles Good communication skills and great attention to detail Self-motivation to work at pace with limited supervision Please note: A requirement for the role is to be able to serve alcohol unsupervised, therefore you must be aged 18 or over What’s in it for you Competitive hourly rate dependent on experience Tips shared equally across the team Maximum of a 35 hour working week 28 days holiday (inclusive of Bank Holidays) pro rata Mondays, Christmas Day and Boxing Day off Free meals while on shift Staff discount on snacks and beverages Emotional and practical support via the Licenced Trade Charity and the BII’s Workforce program Company pension scheme Ongoing access to personal and career development courses
