Social Media Manager - Maternity Contract 6-9 Months

ABOUT THE ROLE
The role sits within the marketing team at our Head Office in Altrincham, reporting directly to the Senior Marketing Manager. The broader team consists of an Ecomm Executive, Brand Manager and Events Manager, with design and creative support from an external agency. As Social Media Manager you’ll collaborate not just with the whole marketing team on executing campaigns, product launches and marketing initiatives, but also with our Creative Director, in-house designers and goldsmiths, Stock Manager, and our jewellery showroom teams.

We're looking for part time (3 or 4 days) for a maternity cover between 6 and 9 months.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Support the development and implementation of our channel and content strategy (primarily Instagram and Facebook, followed by Pinterest and YouTube)
* Maintain distinct brand identity while ensuring consistent, high-quality content across all platforms.
Content Creation & Engagement
* Collaborate with the team on content ideas, including stories, reels, and more
* Collaborate with designers, videographers, and marketing teams to produce high-quality visuals, reels, and short-form videos.
* Work with Brand Manager to respond to and follow-up on jewellery loans
* Write compelling and persuasive copy to enhance engagement and brand storytelling.
Community Engagement
* Monitor online communities, engage with user-generated content, respond to comments, and repost relevant materials.
* Stay ahead of jewellery and social media trends, ensuring innovative and competitive content.
Driving Appointments & Sales Growth
* Use targeted content and campaigns to generate appointments and store traffic.
* Work alongside the Senior Marketing Manager and Ecomm Executive to implement conversion-driven strategies.
* Monitor and optimise social ads, promotions, and influencer collaborations to support online sales and in-store traffic.
* Track and report on the ROI of social media efforts related to appointments and sales.
ABOUT YOU
* Experienced & Strategic – You have experience in social media and brand management, ideally in fashion, bridal, or luxury retail.
* Results-Driven – You have a proven track record of growing accounts and converting social engagement into appointments and sales.
* Creative & Trend-Savvy – You understand how to create engaging content and high-converting campaigns.
* Highly Organised & Analytical – You can juggle multiple projects, track performance, and make data-driven decisions.
* Engaging & Proactive – You love building online communities and fostering brand loyalty.
EXPERIENCE
* 3-5 years’ experience in social media management
* Ability to manage multiple accounts simultaneously
* Strong knowledge of Instagram and Facebook, as well ideally Pinterest and YouTube
* Proficiency in Canva, Photoshop, or video editing tools for content creation
* Experience in tracking performance metrics, reporting, and optimising content
* (Preferred) Experience in the bridal, fashion, or luxury retail industry
* Strong communication, planning, and organizational skills
* Ability to write concise, clear, and engaging texts
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
WHAT WE OFFER
Salary £30-£45k dependent on experience
26 days annual leave + Bank Holidays (FTE)
Working hours / days - Monday - Friday 9am-5pm (3 or 4 days per week)
