Job Title: Temporary Administrator for the Wimbledon Tennis Championship 2025 Location: Basingstoke (will include two weeks work away from home, based in Wimbledon at the Championship - accommodation, transport and food provided between Sunday 29 June and Sunday 13 July 2025) Start Date: End March / beginning April 2025 End Date: Mid-July 2025 Pay Rate: Up to £14.53 (depending upon previous skills and experience) Hours: Monday to Friday - Day shifts Note: during the Championship there will be a requirement to work longer days and weekends. Job Overview: Our customer, The AA, are looking for a highly organised and proactive Administrator to join their dynamic team organising the parking at this year's Wimbledon Tennis Championship. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth running of the parking operations at the tournament including running the car park ticketing and bookings system as well as assisting with the recruitment and onboarding of the outdoor parking attendants. The position requires strong time management skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to delivering outstanding guest services. The Administrator will be responsible for various tasks that contribute to the overall efficiency of the operation. Duties Administer car parking ticketing operation Make car parking bookings received via email, telephone and web enquiries. Advise customers on car parking information and directions. Use an online payment system. Operate ticketing system using MS Access database, organise ticket mail shots including ticket inserts, direction advice and event contact information. Accurately maintain ticketing database and other records. Provide daily support to the Wimbledon Supervisor, providing assistance with invoice progress tracking, corporate bookings, and email enquiries. Liaise with customers in a professional but time efficient manner. Ensure all enquiries are dealt with promptly and professionally. Assist with outdoor staff application process to include photocopying, filing and occasional telephone contact with event staff to ensure prompt application process When onsite at the Tournament, ensure all dealings with All England Lawn Tennis Club (AELTC) staff and their guests are conducted in a professional manner. Experience: The successful candidate should possess the following skills and experience: Proven experience in a similar administrative role or in events management Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively and work under pressure and to strict deadlines. Excellent organisational skills, with attention to detail in all tasks undertaken. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively across various channels with excellent written and verbal communication skills and superb telephone manner. Be an exceptional brand ambassador for The AA Ability to work to a high standard on own initiative. Proven experience of Microsoft Office applications. Demonstrate a high level of confidentiality and follow data protection policies as laid down by The AA. Hold a category B driving licence (some driving between car parking sites may be required during the Championships) Training: the customer will provide an induction and other training to assist with the operational requirements of the job role. Vetting: all staff working at the Championships will be required to provide personal information in order to successfully pass vetting / accreditation by AELTC. Vetting includes Right to Work and Identity checks along with a DBS criminal records check and an Adverse Credit Check. You will be required to disclose any unspent convictions or pending prosecutions along with any CCJ, IVA or Bankruptcy proceedings against you.
