I partner with aspirational property companies looking to find and attract the best talent. I am working with a leading privately owned strategic land promoter that is looking to appoint a strategic land manager to strengthen their south east operation.
They are cash-rich and looking to buy land as they see now as a moment of opportunity whilst others are waiting around. As a business, they operate UK-wide and have a very strong team covering the country across 4 regions.
You will be an experienced land buyer who has 5 years + experience of sourcing and buying land in Berkshire, Hampshire, and Surrey. You will have a detailed understanding of the planning system and whilst you don’t need to be a town planner, you will be comfortable in managing and directing the external consultants dealing with planning applications.
Ideally, you will have worked for a strategic land business or one of the national plc house builders and have an extensive portable book of contacts in land agencies and with land owners. You will work alongside the group managing director and oversee the day-to-day land-buying activities so you will be comfortable and able to work under your own direction and produce board and investor reports on potential land purchases or existing assets.
First and foremost, your main role will be to source and purchase land so you will be deal-focused and want to be out in the field finding the relevant opportunities.
On offer is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic and fast-growing company and be a part of its future success. You will be remunerated extremely well and can expect to share in the profit and future growth of the business with a sizeable six-figure package.
Responsibilities
* Managing the land acquisition strategy for the business
* Developing and building relationships with land owners and land agents in the wider eastern region
* Dealing with legal and contractual issues during the purchase of land

Key Requirements
* Degree qualified with 8 years + experience in land buying.
* Very experienced land manager, senior land manager or strategic land manager with a portable book of contacts
* Demonstrable track record of acquiring high-profile sites in strategic land
* Worked at one of the leading strategic land promoters, house builders or development consultancies
