Job Title: Site Manager / Contracts Supervisor
Location: South West of England
Thorn Baker has teamed up with a market-leading Timber Frame manufacturer, looking for a Contracts Supervisor ideally located in the South West of England. The company is focused on improving Off-Site Manufacturing in terms of efficiency, quality, cost-effectiveness, and making net carbon homes a reality. They are expanding their South West region with various new projects.

Required Skills:
* Valid CSCS card
* Joinery background with extensive Timber Frame erect experience
* Ability to manage and motivate operatives on-site
* Effective communication skills with operatives, clients, and colleagues
* Ability to write clear reports, including labour, delivery, plant requirements, and program variances
* Ability to read working drawings
* Ability to operate under high pressure within tight deadlines
Your Responsibilities:
* Conduct onsite visits to your sites, dedicating ½ to full day to meet operational targets
* Ensure all operatives are inducted, manage subcontractors, and provide clear direction
* Attend site meetings, document progress and variances, and communicate with relevant parties
* Ensure work complies with all HSE standards, including scaffold, slab, and crane lift plans
* Maintain quality standards to meet contract specifications and address snagging before handover
