Job summary The main purpose of this role is to assist with the collection, reception and processing of clinical trial samples such as Blood, Biopsy, Saliva, Stool for clinical research purposes within the RFL R&D. Main duties of the job The post holder will provide biological sample processing support to the R&D Clinical and externally contracted GCLP-Biobank studies to ensure that samples are 1) received/collected, 2) booked onto LIMS, 3) processed and 4) shipped/stored In accordance with GCLP-Biobank and/or study specific SOPs and that all compliant with relevant HTA, ICH legislation and all ethical and governance requirements are complied, and met. In addition, the appointee will assist in data collection, inputs into the Laboratory Information Management system (LIMS) as well as provide administrative support such as booking couriers, liaising with study leads, Clinical Trial Practitioner for the GCLP-Biobank Team and studies.You will participate in all aspects of laboratory research and development work and will have responsibility for associated administrative duties such as sample sheet preparation, equipment maintenance-monitoring, internal quality control (IQC), general laboratory housekeeping duties and stock management duties.
