Job Title: Senior Electronic Engineer (Submarine Support)

Salary: Up to £55,000 depending on experience
\n
\n
What you’ll be doing:
\n
\n
* Provide support to Electrical/Electronic Systems and equipment within the scope of the Submarine Support Motion Control Team
\n
* Develop solutions to a range of Electrical/Electronic design problems or situations (E.g. Obsolescence management, manufacturing, and test support)
\n
* Work as part of a wider project team under limited technical supervision
\n
* Understand and apply a range of design processes, tools, systems, and techniques
\n
* Communicate with internal/ external stakeholders, and with other functions
\n
* Perform self-verification of own tasks to ensure completeness and quality, and arrange checking by appropriate authority
\n
* Answer and provide support to technical queries from internal/ external stakeholders where required
\n
* Adherence to Engineering Lifecycle and contributing to progress, peer, and design reviews
\n
* Support and lead on continuous improvement activities
\n
* Review, amend, and draft technical documentation (E.g. Reports, Test Procedures)
\n
* Interfacing with related disciplines including Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Support, Safety, Product Data Management, and Manufacturing
\n
\n
Your skills and experiences:
\n
Essential:
\n
\n
* A degree in Electronic Engineering or strongly related subject, or equivalent demonstrable experience
\n
* Experience of Analogue and Digital design, including component selection, evaluation, and preparing technical documentation
\n
* Experience of design proving, integration, and defect resolution
\n
* Experience of gathering evidence to support acceptance, fitness for purpose, legislative requirements, and safety
\n
\n
Desirable
\n
\n
* Experience in Analogue and Digital design for legacy (Circa. 1980s/90s) complex marine and or military high reliability control systems and equipment
\n
* Previous experience of operating in a relevant industry or high safety integrity environment
\n
\n

The Engineering Team:
\n
As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for electrical designs relating to Underwater Weapons. The role will provide you with the opportunity to join various complex Underwater Weapon development projects. You will see the full lifecycle and contribute through all phases.
\n
