Position: Full-Time KS1 Teaching Assistant Location: Preston Salary: £12.90 per hour Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:45am – 3:30pm About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic KS1 Teaching Assistant to provide general classroom support across Year 1 and Year 2. This is a wonderful opportunity for individuals with a passion for working with young children to make a positive impact on their learning and development. As a KS1 Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will include: Supporting the class teacher in delivering lessons and activities to Year 1 and Year 2 students. Assisting with the preparation of teaching resources and materials. Providing one-on-one or small group support for students who need additional help with their learning. Encouraging positive behaviour and helping students stay focused and engaged. Helping students with their social and emotional development in line with the school’s ethos. Assisting in managing classroom routines and maintaining a safe, positive learning environment. Supporting the teacher with assessing and recording students’ progress. Supervising children during break times and helping them with personal care if necessary. Key Requirements: Previous experience working with children, ideally in a classroom setting. A genuine passion for supporting young learners and helping them to achieve their best. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other staff members. Patience, flexibility, and a positive attitude. A Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable but not essential. What We Offer: Competitive hourly rate of £12.90.
