Protocol Education is seeking a dedicated and qualified Level 3 Early Years assistant to join a lovely school in Hackney starting in September 2024.
You will be required to work from 8:45 - 3:45, every day during term time.
This role is due to run until July 2025 but there is potential for the best candidates, you will then be offered a permanent role at the school.
Our partner school prides itself on their early years offering and are looking for someone who can contribute effectively to its continued success.
You will be supporting the schools early years department on a full-time basis.
Your role will be to encourage learning through play, creating a fun and safe working enviroment and the overall care of the children in the Nursery.
There are several children within the nursery with additional SEN needs, whilst you will not be working on a 1:1 basis with them, you will need to dedicate more time and focus to their care and progress.
Responsibilities:
1. Provide high-quality support and assistance to the Early Years team in delivering engaging and effective teaching and learning experiences.
2. Support the implementation of age-appropriate activities and lessons that promote children's cognitive, physical, and social development.
3. Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, ensuring the well-being and safety of all children under your care.
4. Assist in assessing children's progress, documenting observations, and maintaining accurate records.
5. Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to create individualized learning plans and strategies for children with diverse needs.
6. Promote positive behavior management techniques and encourage children's independence and self-esteem.
7. Establish effective communication channels with parents, providing regular updates on children's progress and addressing any concerns or queries.
8. Contribute to the overall development and enhancement of the Early Years curriculum through active participation in team meetings and training sessions.
Requirements:
9. Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education or equivalent.
10. Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant within an Early Years setting.
11. Sound understanding of child development theories and best practices in early childhood education.
12. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
13. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
14. A genuine passion for working with young children and a commitment to providing high-quality care and education.
15. Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection policies and procedures.
16. Proactive, enthusiastic, and a team player.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
