Our client, one of the South West’s leading Accountancy firms is seeking a Senior General Practice Accountant to join the team in Yeovil. As a Senior General Practice Accountant, you will work with a variety of clients across multiple sectors, including sole traders, partnerships, limited companies, and charities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial reporting, audits, and providing exceptional client service.
This role offers Hybrid and flexible working options.
Responsibilities for the Senior General Practice Accountant include:
* Prepare FRS 105 and FRS 102(1a) accounts, corporation tax returns, VAT returns, and bookkeeping for various clients
* Assist in complex accounting tasks, including audits, group consolidations, and charity accounts
* Manage audit assignments, including planning, fieldwork, and review stages, while guiding junior staff
* Oversee client communications, work schedules, and ensure timely completion of assignments
The requirements for the Senior General Practice Accountant:
* Progress towards ACCA or ACA qualification
* Strong knowledge of accounting software (Excel, Word, CCH, etc.) and ability to train junior staff
* Proven ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and communicate effectively with clients and team members
* Familiarity with statutory compliance (GDPR, Money Laundering, etc)
* Valid driving license with access to a car
