Ensure compliance with Safe Systems of Work (SSOW) and site regulations. Review and approve Site Authority to Work Documents and Permits to Work. Collaborate with contractors and procurement teams to maintain high standards. Verify contractor paperwork and ensure adherence to RAMS. Conduct site checks, challenge non-compliance, and provide guidance. Address client queries and offer expert advice on SSOW. Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications Skilled in managing work at height, hot works, excavations, and fire/life safety systems. Strong knowledge of construction safety legislation, including CDM, CSCS, NEBOSH. Experience as a Temporary Works Coordinator with a solid understanding of excavation safety. EUSR Category 2: Implement Safe Digging Practices (advantageous). Cable avoidance training, including HSG47 guidance (advantageous). Experience managing or supervising a small team in a permit office/SSOW environment. Ability to lead, coach, and develop a team while implementing process improvements. Construction and Temporary Works experience with a diplomatic approach. Calm and controlled under pressure, ensuring compliance and safety.
