Berry Recruitment are looking for a part time School Travel Admin Assistant to join a local authority based at the central Southampton office.
This is a contract role for 6 months with a possible extension. Working Wednesday 1-5pm, Thursday and Friday 7.5 hours.
Hourly pay rate of £14.46.
The main purpose of this role is to play a key administrative role in supporting the School Travel Service.
Main Duties:
* Carry out administrative activities to support the provision of safe, efficient and effective school travel services for children and young persons from 5-25 years of age
* Support activities for the travel planning and daily operational activities to deliver effective travel arrangements
* Raising purchase orders
* Ensure all school travel records in the school travel database are accurate and up to date
* Answer and manage daily enquiries and manage issues including timings, amendments, cancellations, complaints, accidents and safeguarding issues
* Process travel budgets and bus pass applications accurately
* On a rota basis provide AM and PM office cover to support early morning and late afternoon travel
Candidate Requirements:
* Administration experience is essential
* Computer literate and experience using Microsoft Office
* Experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential
