A rare opportunity to assist a disabled woman with all aspects of personal, domestic and social tasks to lead a more active and outdoor life; including helping her in innovative ways to look after her dogs. In essence, I am looking for someone to be my arms and legs. Previous experience is not a prerequisite, as training can be given.
A bit about me:
My name is Philippa Armstrong. I am 64yo and I live near Totnes. Previously I was an organic hill farmer, single parent, landscape architect, disability consultant and pioneered Open dog agility.
My quadriparesis has taught me many innovative ways to both live my life and handle my dogs. With an incidental learning bonus of an understanding of the links between K9 diet, fitness, environment and training on behaviour.
When I get the opportunity, I like to go to the beach and Dartmoor and to zhuzh up my house and garden. I have an excellent team of staff, for whom I have great respect and try to create a friendly working environment.
What I am looking for:
• Assistance with all aspects of personal, domestic & social tasks. nb: my dogs eat raw food.
• Reliability - essential
• You have a good set of waterproofs, wellingtons and a hardy nature – essential.
• A driving license and a willingness to drive an automatic sprinter van – advantageous.
• An understanding of canine reactivity/appeasement behaviour – advantageous.
• Someone flexible to work as a team with my other PA’s covering sickness and holidays.

Thursday 1pm-7pm
Alternate Sundays 7.30am-1pm and/or 1pm-7pm (Week 1)
Alternate Saturday nights 7pm-7am (Week 2). Cabin available
Hourly rate:
Daytime £17.25 per hour
Night time £15.25 per hour
