Post holders will be appointed at band 2 or band 3 depending upon qualifications.
Band 2 requirements: willingness to undertake all relevant training and qualifications if wishing to develop into a band 3 role.
Band 3 requirements: Numeracy and Literacy Level 2 or GCSE equivalent (A-C/ 4-9), Care certificate, or Short courses and completion of competency workbook equivalent to Level 3 in a range of patient and clinical care duties.
There is a clear framework to allow for postholders to develop from a band 2 to band 3, which includes completion of the qualifications.

Main Duties of the Job
To be an active member of the multidisciplinary team demonstrating a range of nursing skills to meet the needs of the patient in a safe, caring environment that promotes dignity, privacy, and respect under the appropriate supervision of registered nurses.
The post holder will be expected to develop knowledge and skills within the specialty and will assist in the management and delivery of compassionate, high-quality patient care.
The post holder will work with nursing assistants, clerical support, and support the training of student nurses and volunteers.
Demonstrates the Trust Values and Behaviours and the Trust Code of Conduct and the nursing and midwifery 6C's at all times acting in the best interests of patients and treating everyone with dignity and respect.
The post holder has a duty of care to patients and is expected to comply fully with all Trust policies, particularly those relating to personal and patient safety and the prevention of healthcare-associated infections. Knowledge & Skills
* Excellent interpersonal, communication, and active listening skills.
* Time-keeping, planning, and prioritisation skills.
* Basic IT skills to use electronic patient records and other Trust systems.
* Knowledge of Safeguarding.
* Familiarity with current NHS and social care policies.
Qualifications (Band 3)
* Numeracy and Literacy Level 2

Experience (Band 3)
* Experience of working in health or social care.
