A highly reputable Sixth Form College in Cambridge is seeking an experienced and dedicated Quality Lead – Apprenticeships & Work-Based Learning to join its team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in ensuring the highest standards of quality and compliance across the college’s apprenticeship and work-based learning provision.
The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the quality assurance and continuous improvement of apprenticeship and work-based learning programmes. They will ensure that provision meets the requirements of Ofsted, awarding bodies, funding agencies, and industry best practices.
Key responsibilities include:
* Leading on quality assurance processes, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and frameworks.
* Driving continuous improvement across apprenticeship and work-based learning provision.
* Supporting curriculum teams to enhance teaching, learning, and assessment strategies.
* Conducting internal audits, observations, and self-assessment activities to identify and address areas for development.
* Monitoring learner progress and achievement, implementing strategies for success.
* Building strong relationships with employers, external partners, and regulatory bodies.
* Leading on preparations for inspections, reviews, and external quality assurance visits.
Person Specification
The ideal candidate will have:
* Experience in quality assurance within apprenticeships and work-based learning.
* A strong understanding of Ofsted’s Education Inspection Framework (EIF) and ESFA funding rules.
* A background in teaching, training, or assessment, with a relevant qualification (e.g., PGCE, CertEd, Assessor/IQA qualifications).
* Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data to drive improvements.
* Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders.
* Experience working with employers to develop and enhance apprenticeship programmes.
* A commitment to high standards and a learner-centred approach.
