We are looking for an experienced and passionate Registered Nurse to work as part of our team at our Derwent Lodge, Derby.

Our Derwent Lodge service is a CQC registered nursing service where we support up to 16 individuals. We provide a welcoming, clean and comfortable environment with facilities that support recovery and independence. We support people in the service to achieve their personal goals of recovery by promoting personal responsibility and self-confidence to access mainstream resources and a socially inclusive lifestyle.
How you will make a difference as a Registered Nurse:
As a Registered Nurse I work according to the Nursing & Midwifery Council code and relevant professional guidelines as a named nurse and key worker.
Under the direction of the Registered Manager/Management Team, I work as part of an integrated team delivering high quality recovery focused care and interventions to individuals who use our services.
I provide the role and function of named nurse, offering nursing interventions in a wide variety of clinical, therapeutic and social forms. I am responsible for the assessment, development, implementation and evaluation of nursing care, assist in providing psychosocial interventions and activities of daily living.
Some of the essential skills and experience required for this role include:
• A qualified Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN), with 6-12 months post registration experience with active NMC validation completed.
• I adhere to NMC code of conduct and professional practices and maintain registration with NMC.
• I have relevant experience of working with mental health needs with sound clinical reasoning skills.
• I have working knowledge and understanding of mental health issues and the ability to recognise the indicators of deteriorating mental health.
• I have working knowledge and understanding of current legislation, such as the Mental Health Act, DoLS and the Mental Capacity Act.
• I am able to deliver a range of treatments /interventions in a person-centered and non-judgmental manner.
• I am able to demonstrate flexibility, creativity and positive risk taking when developing support packages/care plans.
