The Role
1. As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for originating new loans, developing the loan book, and maintaining or identifying Brokers and Introducers throughout the country to gain referrals for bridging finance.
2. Achieve and exceed sales targets, including provision of a high service level to all accounts.
3. Hold face-to-face meetings with brokers and clients.
4. Be the principal point of contact and build ongoing business relationships with each Intermediary and manage any issues that may arise.
5. Prepare, maintain, and deliver an account management plan for each of the Intermediaries.
6. Ensure all communication with brokers is professional and delivered in a timely manner.
7. Create and maintain Key Performance Indicator reports in Excel.
8. Attend outside events including trade shows and industry events, along with supporting networking events or seminars.
9. Support the wider team by liaising with solicitors and valuers to effectively manage the lending process.
10. Source market research related to property finance, identifying trends, and interpreting market news to determine the risk of loans.
The Requirements
1. Minimum of 5 years sales experience within a secured lending or residential mortgage market.
2. Knowledge of the bridging finance market with a thorough understanding of the UK property finance industry.
3. Proven experience of working with and managing client and broker relationships.
4. Proven track record of exceeding sales targets.
5. Existing relationships within the property broker market.
6. Strong communication and presentation skills.
7. Professional telephone manner.
8. Committed to providing first-class customer service.
9. Intermediate/advanced level of Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
