We are looking for a paediatric Audiologist to support us in our insourcing clinics at Hereford County Hospital.

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Paediatric Audiologist to join our team, specialising in hearing assessments for children aged 0-16. The ideal candidate will be skilled in various audiological evaluation techniques and committed to providing high-quality care to young patients and their families. Applicants must have a minimum of 1 year experience and must have used 'Auditbase' in previous roles.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct comprehensive audiological assessments for children under 4 years, including Visual Reinforcement Audiometry (VRA), tympanometry, and performance testing (insert or free-field).
* Perform headphone performance testing and tympanometry for children aged 4-7, utilising engaging assessment methods such as the McCormick Toy Test or Manchester Picture Test.
* Administer Pure Tone Audiometry (PTA) and tympanometry for children aged 7-16, ensuring accurate and reliable results.
* Interpret test results, develop individualised treatment plans, and provide recommendations for further intervention or referrals as necessary.
* Collaborate with families to explain assessment results and provide guidance on hearing health and management options.
* Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of assessments and treatment plans in the Audiology database (Auditbase).
* Stay updated on best practices in paediatric audiology and participate in ongoing professional development.
Person Specification
Qualifications
* Masters or Doctorate in Audiology (AuD) from an accredited program.
* Current state licensure to practice audiology.
* Experience working with paediatric populations is essential.
* Proficiency in using audiological equipment and software, including tympanometry and Audiology databases.
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex information to families in an understandable manner.
* Compassionate and patient-centred approach to care.
