You’ll manage subcontractor compliance, invoice processing, and monthly reconciliations, ensuring smooth financial operations. Reporting to the Finance Director, you will: Maintain subcontractor records and ensure compliance with HMRC CIS regulations Process invoices, applications, and reconcile statements Handle subcontractor payments, retention monitoring, and valuations Liaise with subcontractors and contract managers to resolve queries Provide cover for purchase ledger and procurement tasks when needed Assist with general administration and support team activities What you will need: Previous experience in a similar role, such as Subcontractor Ledger Clerk / Purchase Ledger Clerk / Ledger Clerk / Purchase Ledger Administrator / Accounts Assistant / Finance Assistant Confidence with finance processes, willingness to push procedures and authorisations effectively CIS knowledge, including understanding VAT rules Experience in the construction sector is advantageous Confidence in IT and finance systems, ideally with Sage 50 What you will get: Substantial performance bonus after year 1 Annual company events and regular team events such as boat trips and race days Early finish Fridays Company parties Your birthday off If you would like to find out more about this role, please apply with your CV or LinkedIn PDF.
