Manual Hand Router Technician
Location: Blackburn/Lancashire area
Salary: £14.00p/h - £16.00p/h DOE + OT (PAYE or UMBRELLA – inside IR35)
Contract: 3-month temporary contract, with a temp to perm opportunity
Sector: Aerospace / Manual Routing / Technical / Composites / High Precision
I am working with a key client in the Blackburn, Lancashire area who are a leading global manufacturer and supplier of technical components to the aerospace sector. They are looking to recruit a Manual Hand Router to work on the build and process of composite and fibre glass assemblies for critical projects.
As a Router Technician, you will be required to conduct the following duties:
1. Routing components and structures to a high finish
2. Working to high specifications – hand routing around the whole component
3. Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
4. Using air power tools – router experience
5. Prepping parts in jigs to ensure precision of work
6. Working to company processes & Health & Safety procedures
The Router Technician will need to have the following attributes:
1. Ideally qualified with NVQ L2 or 3 in Engineering or Manufacturing (beneficial but not essential)
2. Strong attention to detail and mechanically minded
3. Able to use power tools and manual routers
4. Hard worker with high standards
5. A strong team player
6. Experience within a precision manufacturing environment
7. Strong communication skills, with a keen eye for Health, Safety and Quality
The benefits of this position include:
1. Monday to Thursday 37 hours p/e standard. Overtime on Friday & Saturdays T1.5 & Sundays T2.
2. Temp to perm for the right candidate after 3 months
