About The Role
As Supply Chain and Operations | Delivery Senior Manager you will work across multiple engagements from planning through to delivery of client engagement. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Service Senior Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operations management, quality assurance, and a desirable knowledge of supply chain and procurement processes. This role is critical in ensuring the efficiency, effectiveness, and quality of our service delivery.
Our Supply Chain and Operations team focus on optimising the procurement and management of 3rd party spend for our Clients and an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Service Delivery Manager to join this rapidly growing team.
Leading the delivery activity of the Supply Chain and Operations (SC&O) Team, you will be working as part of the PwC Operate business which comprises over 2,000 people across the UK and alongside colleagues from our other lines of service including Consulting to support our Clients in purchasing everything from IT to energy and from groceries to aircraft.
We deliver our client work from a range of locations, providing them with cost-effective delivery, access to subject matter expertise and operational excellence. Our Clients include everyone from household names to new startup businesses, government departments, industrial giants, technology leaders and global financial services firms so you can be sure of variety and plenty of opportunities to learn and contribute.
The services provided by the SC&O team can be summarised as follows:
1. Procurement: Supporting Clients in the delivery of procurement activities including market analysis and engagement, requirements identification and management of the procurement process from initiation to contract award. In addition, a separate team within Operate supports the SC&O team to deliver 3rd party spend analytics.
2. Contract and Supplier Management: Managing contracts on behalf of Clients, driving to improve strategic supplier relationships, 3rd party supplier risk assessment, delivering and optimising commercial assurance and undertaking detailed analysis of existing contract structures to identify improvement opportunities and current compliance.
3. Supply Chain Management: Management of existing supply chains (internal and 3rd party) and analysis to identify improvement opportunities.
4. Productivity Improvement: Working with a separate team within Operate, analysing current operational processes / systems / data and resourcing to identify potential improvements then working with Clients to deliver the resulting change programme.
What Your Days Will Look Like
1. Lead the safe mobilisation and initiation of Supply Chain & Operations engagements, ensuring that teams are strategically positioned for success with a strong emphasis on quality and delivery.
2. Develop and maintain a comprehensive quality management system to uphold high standards and ensure consistent delivery of exceptional results.
3. Collaborate with delivery teams to implement corrective and preventive actions to address and resolve quality issues promptly.
4. Work closely with delivery teams to ensure the continued successful delivery of projects, maintaining strong and consistent quality throughout.
This Role Is For You If You Have
1. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
2. Knowledge of running procurement & supply chain activities in an operational environment.
3. Knowledge in vendor management and contract negotiation.
4. Knowledge of procurement software and tools.
5. In-depth knowledge of quality management systems and standards (e.g., ISO 9001).
6. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
7. Reporting & MI, leveraging appropriate tools to generate insights including but not limited to PowerBi & Alteryx.
8. Strong decision-making skills with a focus on achieving operational goals.
