Job Purpose : Responsible for supporting the design and development of mechanical components and systems under the guidance of senior engineers. The role focuses on the preparation of technical drawings, calculations, and the day-to-day management of engineering tasks to ensure project objectives are met. Key Responsibilities: 1. Design and Drafting - Assist in the design of mechanical systems and components. - Prepare detailed technical drawings and specifications using CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD). - Conduct basic calculations and simulations to support design work. 2. Collaboration - Work with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to ensure design requirements are understood and met. - Support production and procurement teams by providing necessary design information and resolving technical issues. 3. Documentation and Quality - Assist in the preparation and maintenance of design documentation, including engineering drawings, bills of materials, and technical reports. - Ensure that all designs comply with company standards and industry regulations. 4. Continuous Learning - Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance technical skills. - Stay up-to-date with the latest engineering practices, tools, and industry standards. Knowledge, Skills & Experience Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Solid experience in mechanical design and engineering. Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD). Basic knowledge of industry standards and codes (e.g., ASME).
