Caretaker

We are seeking a Caretaker to join our team based in Ely. This roles sits within the Estate Team and involves working alongside another Caretaker with occasional lone working when required. The ideal candidate will have either cleaning or caretaking experience and a track record of delivering high quality services, demonstrate a commitment to teamwork and high levels of customer service.
The role of Caretaker will include:
- Cleaning communal areas of flats, hostels, and housing for older people schemes on a rota
- Removing bulky waste from sites following works orders
- Ensuring Health and Safety protocols are followed
- Working with customers to resolve issues and improve services
- Completing all documents and paperwork concerning tasks completed
- Ensuring tools and equipment are maintained in a suitable condition
Skills and experiences:
- Experience in a similar cleaning role or completing similar tasks
- British institute certificate in cleaning services (BICS) would be advantageous
- Practical experience in operating hand tools and light machinery
- Some experience of working to deadlines and prioritising workloads
- Working knowledge of Health and Safety legislation
- Good communication and customer care skills
- This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full manual valid UK driving licence
