We’re looking for a sharp, organised, and passionate Features Editor to join our UK-based editorial team. You’ll play a key role in driving daily editorial output, working closely with the Editorial Director and Staff Writer to deliver timely, authoritative, and engaging features content. You’ll write, commission, edit, and publish news, features, and interviews that reflect the pulse of the global games industry, with a particular focus on the UK and European markets. Key Responsibilities: Write and edit high-quality news stories, features, and opinion pieces with speed, accuracy, and editorial judgment Source, conduct, and publish interviews with developers, publishers, executives, and other industry leaders Collaborate with freelance writers and contributors to commission and edit content Monitor industry events, press releases, and market trends to pitch timely and relevant story ideas Ensure content adheres to our editorial standards and style, and is optimised for SEO and audience engagement Represent GamesIndustry.biz at events, conferences, and press briefings as needed (occasional travel may be required) Work closely with the Editorial Director to help shape coverage priorities and maintain editorial excellence Requirements: Proven experience in editorial roles, ideally within games, tech, media, or B2B journalism Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with a strong news sense and attention to detail Deep interest in – and understanding of – the games industry, including its key players, issues, and business models Comfortable conducting interviews with senior professionals and crafting compelling narratives from them Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced news cycle Self-motivated and collaborative, able to work independently while staying aligned with editorial goals Familiarity with content management systems, basic SEO principles, and social media platforms Not Required, but Helpful: Experience working in B2B media or trade publications A network of industry contacts across development, publishing, and related sectors Multimedia experience (podcasts, video, audio editing) is a bonus Work Environment: Work Schedule: Standard full-time working schedule, M-F. There is no expectation for this role to work weekends, holidays, or odd hours. Travel Requirements: On occasion, there may be a requirement for this role to travel to conferences or events for content coverage.
